In a Night So Dark

In a Night So Dark is about the disruption created in a group of old friends by the unexpected announcement outside of wedlock. With the film, I wanted to deconstruct the taboos of abortion, adoption, and divorce in Iran. My generation is amongst the first to openly discuss and question these taboos in a manner that may actually make a change in Iran. I wanted to embody both sides of this political unrest in my film, giving hope to a new way of discourse in Iran, while critiquing the old.
